About Us

About Us

Wescott Acres Pet Rescue is a small non-profit rescue operating at Wescott Acres Luxury Pet Resort in the St. Andrews/Irmo area of South Carolina. We rescue abandoned, abused and neglected dogs and cats, give them veterinary treatment and support them emotionally. They stay in loving foster homes to receive nurturing care, and we find families for all pets so they can live with love for the rest of their lives. Wescott Acres Pet Rescue emphasizes the importance of spaying and neutering pets to prevent pet over-population.

Adopting!

We want to ensure pets are all adopted into secure, loving homes where they will be valued family members for the rest of their lives. To adopt, contact us by email at LauraMitchell5000@gmail.com or message us on our Wescott Acres Pet Rescue page.

To adopt, contact us by email at LauraMitchell5000@gmail.com, message us on our Wescott Acres Pet Rescue Facebook page, or click on the “Contact us” tab here on our web site and fill our your email information.  We will reach out to you right away – most of the time within hours of your contacting us. You are important to us!

Adoption for our rescued pets is generally $200. This generally does not cover all the costs of our financial costs for each rescued pet. Each pet receives a veterinary examination, spay or neuter if they are of age, age-appropriate vaccines, heartworm testing, heartworm prevention, flea/tick prevention, de-worming and any other medical needs this pet requires.  Then, each pet goes into a foster home to be emotionally nurtured and for us to get to know their basic personality.  In their foster homes they are loved, learn basic house manners, leash training and basic obedience.
